I agree that commenting on blogs is helpful in finding your “voice” and be more original, and outspoken in writing your own blog. A lot of us struggle with writing – afraid that we might not have something important to add to the conversation. Over the last few months, I have made it a point to comment daily on post on the AR – real estate site. The benefits are starting to show, with new friendships made ( associations ), knowledge gained from other agents, etc. However, it has really helped in getting confidence – to speak up, and become a better and more frequent writer on my own blog.

Another benefit of commenting is that it forces you to read a post carefully, analyze it, and then have something half way intelligent to add – as a commenter. This in turn makes you a better informed reader, of what the post was about.

Great idea…no comments though..readers aren't getting it maybe? It's amazing how easy it is but you have to keep at it. Not just say hello and then stop talking.
