I’ve been thinking a lot about social media policy lately. It strikes me there are lots of real estate agents wanting to get involved with social media, but only a few are giving thought to how the culture in their business is going to cope. The ones that do are smart.
Developing a policy that consists of a list of Thou Shall Not’s is easy. But tapping into the power of social media is about looking for possibilities and creating opportunities. And sparking connections and conversations that don’t exist today.
That type of thinking takes effort. But it’s an effort worth making.
I think B.L. Ochman gets the gist of good social media policy just right. It’s about respecting, engaging and being open.
What do you think? What possibility is included in your social media policy?
