David and Nikki, thanks both for your comments. I know you're both gurus at this stuff so your advice and comments are very much appreciated. I notice that Facebook doesn't allow a Page note to be tagged, only personal notes. Do you recommend using only personal notes or are both worthwhile?

I agree with Nikki, Facebook notes are the way to go if you want to get viral exposure, especially if you have taken the time to build a targeted network of friends. It goes out into the newsfeed and you can then attract friends of friends like a magnet. Building real relationships is the key here not just finding random people.

and as I am in love with facebook.. another GREAT thing is that you can create a 'badge' from your profile and whack it on your blog/website etc, stay in touch better with your readers and clients - here is an example (i'm hoping html works in the comment box! hehe)

<a href="http://www.facebook.com/people/Nikki-DAgostino/698576382" title="Nikki D'Agostino's Facebook Profile" rel="nofollow"></a>

you can edit the settings to show any info on your facebook in your badge and its available in javascript - for more interactivity or HTML

The events and notes pages on Facebook are also good utilities Pete!

but I definitely agree with this post! I saw today on twitter some information that facebook has 600,000 new users added daily - talk about growth in community - the Perth Boom is over, the Facebook boom is just beginning!!!
